Travel Support Application for United States based participants

The steering committee for the Summer Conference on Topology and its Applications has been awarded National Science Foundation funding to cover travel costs of some US based participants. Applications from members of under-represented groups, graduate students, post-doctoral students, and recently appointed faculty (PhD last 5 years) are given preference. Some funding may be available for senior faculty without other travel support. To apply for funding, please fill out the travel support application. Contact Lynne Yengulalp (lyengulalp1@udayton.edu) for more information. Please apply for funding by the 17th of April  2019.

This conference is in Cooperation with the AWM and supports the Welcoming Environment Statement of the Association for Women in Mathematics.

Student and Postdoc Fellow Support

The application material should contain the following:

  • Cover letter with contact details and a description of the current status (topic of PhD, year of the PhD project etc.) of the applicant as well as the financial need.
  • CV including a publication list if applicable,
  • Supporting letter of the PhD advisor,
  • Budget plan for the conference participation (Registration and accommodation) with an indication of how the funds exceeding the SUMTOPO 2019 support will be covered.
  • The application should be sent as PDF files to sumtopo2019@gmail.com marked with the keyword Student and Postdoc Fund. 

Deadline for submissions: 30 March 2019.
